Mobile phones are now an integral part of our lives. This means that their health has a major impact on our lives. If your mobile has become slow and it has become tedious for you to browse apps on the phone, it would certainly impact your mood and attitude in all situations. The frustrating aspect of the mobile slowing down is that it normally it has a strong processor and very good RAM and ROM. However, Android phones can still become extremely slow and make your life a living hell. A phone that has become slow doesn't necessarily mean that the issue is hardware though. Just like with computers, the chances that the slow speeds are because of bloated software and malware is a bigger possibility. Therefore, rather than replacing your phone right away, you should first look for a task manager like Smart Task Manager to see what is actually happening in your phone.
Smart Task Manager is a task manager app which basically helps you look at what's running in the background on your phone. There are a number of apps that continue to run in the background even while you stop using them and therefore, take up valuable processing speed and storage space which in turn makes the phone slower. You can find out valuable information about the apps on your phone, the cache each app has stored on your phone's memory and the processing speed it is basically using through Smart Task Manager. You can also take actions in order to free up space and ensure that the phone starts to respond faster to your queries etc.
Smart Task Manager has a very user-friendly interface. It basically has four main functions namely 'Tasks', 'Apps', 'Backup and Install' and 'Real-time Process'. The tasks function lets you know all the tasks that are running on your phone. From all the apps to system tasks, you can get to know about each task from here. The app offers the possibility of ending these tasks right away. However, the app can only end these tasks if you have a rooted phone. Otherwise, the app would direct you to your phone's App directory and you can then 'disable' the app in order to ensure that no tasks associated with the app can continue to run on your phone. You can also create an exception list where you add the tasks which you don't want to end before selecting all other tasks and ending them straight away.
The 'Apps' feature gives you information about all the apps present on your phone. It includes both user-installed apps as well as system apps which came with the phone when you bought it. From this feature, you can select each app and start it directly from the task manager app. You can also create a backup APK file on your SD card. You can also uninstall the app, add it to a favorites list, check for updates and remove the cache stored by the app. You can even try to force stop the app through the task manager.
The backup and install feature basically lets you install apps whose APKs you install from the web and not from Google Play. You can install such apps through the task manager through this function. The fourth feature is a real-time process and this shows you the actual processes running on your phone in real-time. This is where you can know which app continues to keep running its processes in the background even after you have stopped using the app. You can end the processes from this section though you would need to root the phone for the purpose.
- Great managing feature for apps
- Nice option of finding out and killing real-time processes running on your phone in the background
- Fine backup creator for apps
- Excellent feature for installing apps without Google Play Store
Smart Task Manager is a nice task manager app for rooted phones. From killing background processes to uninstalling apps, you can do it all with the app. However, if your phone isn't rooted then the app loses most of its utility.
